Between June 21 and 23, 2023, as part of the 6th edition of the "Devenir acteur de l'investissement d'impact" training course, a team from EInA and Moroccan partners took part in training and working meetings with Investisseurs et Partenaires teams in Paris. The aim was to review international experience in the design and implementation of impact investment funds (IIF).

These are funds that mobilize private investment to tackle social issues such as climate change. Investors in these funds receive returns on their capital but are also rewarded by the social impacts of their investments.

As part of its mission to develop operational innovations to strengthen public policies in support of entrepreneurs, EInA is looking into the design and implementation of regional impact investment funds to promote entrepreneurship and job creation in a value chain approach.  A publication by early 2024 is planned to describe how such funds could be introduced in Morocco and Tunisia, and what impact they would have on the labor market.
