In 2019, the African Development Bank's North Africa Regional Office launched the regional initiative for entrepreneurship, EInA (Employment Innovations and Advice for North Africa). This initiative emerged following the 2012 implementation of the Souk at Tanmia project by the Bank, which directly supported nearly 800 entrepreneurs in Tunisia, Egypt, and Morocco. EInA covers the same countries and aims to contribute to inclusive creation of quality jobs in North Africa. Specifically, it seeks to support: (i) public policies and programs promoting entrepreneurship and supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs); and (ii) the Bank's lending operations to enhance their impact.
