Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Tunisia
About
These are public establishments of economic interest endowed with legal personality and financial autonomy and operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Trade and Handicrafts, at present the Ministry of Trade and Export Development. The CCIs are mandated to:
Promote the private sector and stimulate investment across Tunisian regions.
Provide public authorities with all information, notices and suggestions on issues directly or indirectly affecting industry, commerce, crafts, and small trades.
Embark on initiatives aimed at actions of conciliation, arrangement, and arbitration at the regional, national, or international level.
Conclude commercial cooperation agreements with foreign chambers of commerce and industry.
Keep a file of all the tradesmen registered in the trade register in their district.
In appropriate cases, Chambers of Commerce and Industry may be entrusted with the management of a public department within the framework of an operating agreement.
