ONAT is in charge of implementing the State's strategy for the safeguarding and development of the Tunisian handicrafts sector, including promoting investment and supporting job creation, innovation and creativity, as well as elaborating policies aimed at craft heritage preservation.
ONAT also supports craftsmen and their businesses throughout all the stages of their projects (including registration) and helps them access suitable financing opportunities and markets. It offers them information on the regulatory framework, tax and customs incentives and benefits, investment opportunities, and provides assistance and support to carry out investment procedures (ONAT working capital loan, The Tunisian Solidarity Bank, the National Fund for the Promotion of Handicrafts and Small Trades - FONAPRAM, etc.). It also facilitates contact with local and administrative partners and promotes products on the national and external tourism markets.
